The Signs and Symptoms of Pregnancy

Figuring out if you are pregnant is different for every woman, but almost every woman looks for a missed or delayed period.  Some women do start to experience signs and symptoms that they are pregnant quite early on; even in the first week.  Each woman is different with some women  never experiencing any symptoms. Phone your doctor if your having any signs of pregnancy.

Following conception, approximately 6 to 12 days an embryo implants itself inside the uterus.  When it occurs, a few women may suffer from muscular spasm and notice mild spotting.  If a woman has been sexually active, and a menstrual period is late or missed, she should get a pregnancy test. Phone your doctor if your having any questions about weight gain during pregnancy.

If you become pregnant you will most likely miss your next period.  There is a likelihood that a few women may have bleeding when they are pregnant, however it will be mild and not as long as a normal period.Your doctor would need to be consulted if you have questions about first trimester pregnancy.

One more indication of conception is the fact that the breasts feel soft and bloated in the first two weeks. The areolas might have a deeper color in a few women.

After a week of being pregnant, many women complain of feeling tired a lot. One of the most common signs is the morning sickness though a few women have this for the entire gestation period.

This symptom may never appear for some women, but for others it can last from two to eight weeks. Many women will experience a dull lower back ache during pregnancy.  Many women experience headaches early on in pregnancy.
If you have to pee more than you usually do this is an additional symptom of pregnancy and this happens approximately six weeks following conception.

Food cravings start to show up giving signs for pregnancy. Food cravings are very common throughout the pregnancy in most women, however they may not want to eat ice cream and pickles.  The final word is that if you suspect that you could be pregnant there are a lot of options for home pregnancy tests and going to see your doctor is the first thing you should do so you and your baby will be safe.
